The last deadline for filling applications for the restitution of property ended on 31 December 2011.
The deadline for submitting claims for in rem restitution of real estate owned by particular federal provinces, cities or municipalities as of January 17, 2001, was extended until December 31, 2009, at the initiative of the IKG Vienna. (Federal provinces: Burgenland, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Styria, Vorarlberg, Vienna; Municipalities: Bad Ischl, Frauenkirchen, Kobersdorf, Korneuburg, Mattersburg, Oberwart, Purkersdorf, Vöcklabruck, Wiener Neudorf).
The IKG Vienna's Department for Restitution Affairs is tracking numerous claims that were able to be submitted within the deadline thanks to the comprehensive examination of confiscated real estate by the IKG Vienna historians.
